White is by far the most popular colour for shutters, but it's far from the only one. We offer 23 paint colours and 27 wood stains, and if you have a particular shade in mind we can match it. Not every finish comes in every material, so here's a quick guide to what's possible.
Paint colours
White is popular for good reason: it's bright, it's timeless and it goes with almost anything. If you fancy something different, there are 23 paint colours to choose from, though the number varies a little from one material to the next. We'll show you exactly what's on offer for the shutters you're considering.
Wood stains
If you love the look of natural timber, a stain lets the grain show through. We offer 27 stains on our two premium hardwood ranges, Bass Wood and Samoa. They run from light tones like Limed White, through warm ones like Red Mahogany, to dark stains like Wenge. Swatches are only a guide, so we bring samples to your home and you can see them in your own light.
Matching your own colour
Got a wall colour, a front door or a piece of furniture you'd like to match? Give us a sample or a colour code (a solid block of colour works best) and we'll do the rest. We can match almost any shade, from bold reds and oranges to soft pinks and blues.
What's available in each material

Will the colour fade?
Every shutter has six coats of paint or stain and a UV protective layer, which reduces the chance of fading in sunlight. The finish is quick to wipe clean, too.
Seeing the colours at home
The best way to choose is to see them where they'll live. At your free home visit we hold the samples up against your own windows and walls, and there's no pressure to decide on the day. You can also look through our colours and finishes page first, or book a visit.
