Sash windows, bays, arched tops, awkward angles: London homes have a lot of character, and it doesn't always fit a standard size. That's why we survey every window carefully and make each set to fit, right down to the millimetre.

Why shutters rather than blinds
Shutters do a few things blinds can't:
- The louvres tilt, so you can angle the light exactly how you like it, room by room.
- You keep your privacy without losing the daylight, especially with café style or tier on tier shutters.
- They can help insulate your home against heat loss in winter and heat gain in summer.
- There are no cords to worry about, which is a comfort in a child's bedroom.
Styles, materials and colours
We make seven shutter styles, from classic full height to tracked shutters for patio doors, plus bay window and special shaped shutters for the windows that are harder to fit. Our materials run from entry-level MDF to sustainably sourced hardwood, with waterproof ABS for bathrooms and aluminium if you want security. White is the favourite colour, but there are also 23 paints and 27 wood stains, and we can match a colour of your own.
What happens at your home visit
We look at your windows with you, show you the materials and colours against your own walls, and talk through what would suit each room. Then we give you a price. We charge by the square metre, so there's no inflated list price to knock money off and nothing to haggle over. On average our quotes come in around 25% below the big national brands.

Yes. Every set is made to measure after a technical survey, including bay windows and special shaped windows. Our Bass Wood and Samoa hardwood ranges can be made for curved and angled shapes.
